...and I have only read one article today, read this one. David Hale talks about the players reacting to new coaches at RB and WR, the Joe Cox to AJ Green connection, and Jeff Owens recovery.

preseason hype over-rated. Look no further than this past year. I was recently looking over my 2008 SI issue you know the one that had UGA ranked #1 and it occurred to me that the national media has really never shared the failures or exposed some other programs. Trust me we all have had to read about CMR unmet expectations or the dawgs lack of winning the big game.I want to point out that not only did we finish in the top 10 and win 10 games that there were some teams that tanked it in 2008. Starting with the Barners preseason top 10...record 5-7...next Clemson top 12...record 7-6..next Tenn top 10...record 5-7 notice a trend...all had below avg. seasons and all made coaching changes...just for kicks LSU 8 up 5 down as the defending NC and yes they were ranked in the top 10 preseason polls...Why all the venting just tired of the media pointing out flaws at UGA when other programs had seasons that were at best forgettable...Things are not as dark in Clarke county...Go Dawgs
Anon 12:45: Amen, brother. I don't know why the media likes to diss the Dawgs either, but I'm sick of it too. We may not have win the MNC, but we still won 10 games in 2008 including a bowl and beat the defending national champions on their home field, which is not a bad season in my book.
But 2008 is over, and we can be optimistic about this year. Our coach has been a proven winner at UGA for nearly a decade, we're going to have a 5th year senior under center and a solid tailback behind him, and the lines on both sides of the ball will be healthier and more experienced this year. There's no reason to think that we can't do as well as or better in 2009 than we did in 2008.
Go Dawgs, Hunker Down, and GATA!
