Now, our eyes turn to the future. Thirteen months ago, a
search committee was named to replace
Il Duce. Executive search firm R. William Funk and Associates, Dallas, Texas was brought on to help identify candidates. Given the nearly seven
billion people on planet earth, it was truly a daunting task. Improbably, out of all the people in all the world, the
best only qualified candidate was just across the quad, toiling in
obscurity. So, congratulations to
the new No. 2 Mr. Jere Morehead on first day as president of UGA.
