Bill Bates on Herschel Walker

The payoff at the end is excellent. Thanks to our "Daryl Strawberry" (in the comment section of this site) for the heads up.

Catching up with Bill Bates.

Good story and all, but now I have to ask: Does UGA have the TMS to help combat the heat? We need as bad as anyone outside of FL or Baton Rouge.

Not really on the topic but EA sports is running a comercial for NCAA'09 and it shows Knowshon in a black jersey top and is playing a UGA fight song in the back ground. The dude playing it looks like a Tech fan but other then that its a pretty cool comercial.

on the topic of NCAA 09, PWD i think a cool project for you (hehehe) would be to put together a bunch of Munson cuts for the custom sounds option.

I would love to hear "Touchdown, Touchdown, Oh God a touchdown." everytime i score!

Mr. Strawberry, I think you'll find what you're looking for on

LarryMunson.com

yeah, yeah...

I am just too lazy to download an mp3 cutter and cut the parts that will apply to the custom sound feature...

You are aware of this feature right? If not go to easports.com/ncaa09 and they just added a new video describing it.

Such an awesome feature (although i would NEVER add rock music, etc. like in that demo. Only the Redcoats, Munson and maaaaybe Soulja Boy).

Some Stafford gossip for you, Paul. Coming from the little bro, a good friend of Matthew's and Paige's (Paige's year at HPHS and now UGA). (We're all Bubble products, fwiw.)

For whatever it's worth.

I remember seeing that clip when it happened. I was watching the Bulldog TV show with a friend who was a HS assistant coach. He said something to the effect of "That guy (Bates) did everything perfectly correct in terms of tackling; and yet got steamrolled--sh.......t".

I have shown that clip to folks over the years and tell them that the guy who got run over played in the NFL for many, many years making Pro Bowls--to me that makes the play that much more amazing since it did not happen to some walk-on at Carson-Newman.

Interesting though that in later years it seemed Herschel turned more into Franco Harris in terms of contact.
