Offensive Line: Not so muddy now

David Ching talks about the Dawg's offensive line today in the Columbus Ledger. The article mentions that the starting five of Adams, Haverkamp, Velasco, Davis and Sturdivant played every first string snap together from Spring Break through G-Day. That's probably the first time in Richt's tenure the same starting 5 OL practiced together for two solid weeks.

The stability and health of these guys is increasing my comfort level, but I'd still love to see Vance make a big push for playing time. The idea of starting two freshman offensive line against South Carolina's defense, which I think returns its entire front seven, isn't comforting.

the expectations are unfairly high for vance.

he's only been played two years of offensive line in his whole life.

he's got a long way to go in terms of hand fighting. i saw him play about five times last year and i always viewed him as a project.
